Jorge Martin's Recovery Plan Ahead of Sepang MotoGP
Jorge Martin is working on a recovery plan after suffering a fracture to his right radius during a race at Phillip Island. He has four days to heal before attempting to return to the track at Sepang.
The injury occurred during a sprint race where Martin was competing closely with Marc Marquez. A CT scan ruled out additional fractures, and the non-displaced nature of the injury means surgery is not required. The cancellation of the main race at Phillip Island has provided Martin with a slight advantage, as Marquez could not extend his lead in the championship standings.
Martin's recovery protocol, designed by his physiotherapist Aitor Tomas, includes reducing swelling and promoting bone regeneration through various therapies. He will be assessed by the championship's medical team on Thursday to determine if he can participate in practice on Friday. While Aprilia Racing Team supports his return, they emphasize the importance of prioritizing his health.
