
Jos Buttler Sets T20 Runs Record in Manchester Super Giants' Victory
In a remarkable performance, Jos Buttler led the Manchester Super Giants to a nine-wicket victory over Welsh Fire in The Hundred at Old Trafford. Buttler's achievement included breaking the T20 runs record, surpassing Kieron Pollard's previous mark of 14,803 runs.
Welsh Fire batted first, scoring 155 runs for four wickets in 100 balls, with Matt Short contributing 71 runs and Phil Salt adding 48. Their opening partnership of 125 runs was pivotal before the Super Giants responded with a strong batting display, reaching 161 runs for one wicket in just 69 balls.
Buttler scored 51 runs off 20 balls, while Tim Seifert supported him with an unbeaten 62 runs from 36 balls. The Super Giants' victory places them third in the standings, four points behind Welsh Fire.
