Jose Mourinho Defends Kylian Mbappe Amid Criticism
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has defended Kylian Mbappe against recent criticism regarding his actions during the international break. Mbappe, who is the captain of the French national team, withdrew from international duty due to an injury sustained on September 25 against Turkey.
After his withdrawal, Mbappe was seen attending a Paris Fashion Week event and riding a bicycle, which Mourinho had previously mentioned was against his guidelines. Mourinho stated that all players adhered to their responsibilities during the break and criticized the media for seeking issues where none exist. He clarified that the bicycle incident was misrepresented, as bicycles were available for guests at his hotel for short trips.
Mourinho emphasized that if a Real Madrid player fails to meet club expectations, they would not be included in the lineup. Currently, Real Madrid is six points behind Barcelona in the La Liga standings. Mbappe, a strong contender for the Ballon d'Or, scored 42 goals last season but did not secure any trophies for his team.
