Joseph Ossai's Availability for Jets' Season Opener in Doubt Due to Injury
Joseph Ossai, who was signed by the Jets this offseason to strengthen their pass rush, is facing uncertainty regarding his availability for the team's Week 1 game against Tennessee due to a foot injury.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn informed the media that Ossai is currently classified as week-to-week. He had previously started training camp on the physically unable to perform list due to an undisclosed injury but was activated in mid-August and participated in the preseason finale.
Last season, Ossai recorded 43 tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles while playing for the Bengals. The Jets have other edge-rushing options available, including first-round pick David Bailey, Will McDonald, Kingsley Enagbare, and Braiden McGregor.
