Joseph Parker Cleared to Fight After Drug Test Investigation

Joseph Parker, a former world heavyweight champion, has been cleared to fight again following an investigation into traces of cocaine found in his UK Anti-Doping (Ukad) test. The investigation revealed that the positive result was due to exposure from his nutritionist, who was identified as a regular cocaine user.

Parker, 34, had been suspended for three months after failing a drug test on 26 October 2025, shortly after his defeat to Fabio Wardley at London's O2 Arena. He provided evidence to Ukad demonstrating that the cocaine detected in his system was not ingested knowingly, but rather through contact with his nutritionist.

Ukad confirmed that Parker's cocaine ingestion occurred outside of competition and was unrelated to his athletic performance, which led to the lifting of his suspension. Parker, who has a professional record of 36 wins and four losses, previously held the WBO heavyweight title from 2016 to 2018.
