Joseph Parker Cleared to Return to Boxing After Drug Suspension Lifted

Joseph Parker, a former world heavyweight champion from New Zealand, has been cleared to resume boxing after his provisional suspension was lifted. This decision follows a positive test for cocaine conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association on October 25.

On the same day of the test, Parker faced a defeat against Britain's Fabio Wardley at the O2 Arena in London. Following the lifting of his suspension, Parker expressed his intention to return to the ring soon, while also thanking his supporters. He has maintained that he did not knowingly consume any banned substances.

The British Boxing Board of Control confirmed the lifting of Parker's suspension but stated that no further comments could be made at this time. The UK Anti-Doping agency, which did not oversee the initial test, may conduct its own investigation.
