Josh Alexander Returns to Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling After Knee Surgery
Josh Alexander made his return to the ring during the latest episode of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Mayhem, more than four months after undergoing knee surgery. The wrestler, part of the Don Callis Family, had injured his knee at an AEW taping in March and required surgery in early April.
During his appearance, Alexander confronted Stu Grayson, who holds the interim title while Alexander has remained the Canadian Champion. Although no date has been set for a potential title unification match, the upcoming Northern Rising pay-per-view in Toronto on October 3 could be a possibility if Alexander is cleared to compete.
Alexander expressed disappointment over not being able to defend his title during his recovery. He was crowned the inaugural Canadian Champion in May 2025 after the MLP brand was relaunched by Scott D’Amore. The episode featuring his return aired on TSN in Canada and will be available on MyAEW for international audiences.
