Josh Charnley Celebrates Contract Extension with Leigh Leopards

Josh Charnley, recognized as the all-time leading try-scorer in the Super League, confirmed his contract extension with Leigh Leopards during a recent match against St Helens. He celebrated his 281st Super League try by signing a mock contract on the field.

The 35-year-old winger's new deal was announced shortly after he opened the scoring in the fixture. Charnley will continue to play for Leigh through the 2027 season.

Charnley, who previously expressed uncertainty about his future, stated that after assessing his physical condition at the start of the year, he decided to pursue another season. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to remain with the club, highlighting its positive trajectory.
