Josh Dobbs Joins Detroit Lions Amid Injury Concerns for Former Vols
Josh Dobbs, a former quarterback for the Tennessee Vols, has signed with the Detroit Lions, where he is expected to be the primary backup to Jared Goff. This move comes after Dobbs played for the New England Patriots last season.
However, Dobbs may need to exercise caution as other former Vols have faced injuries during Lions training camp. Recently, tight end Miles Kitselman suffered a leg injury that will keep him sidelined for an extended period. Additionally, Lions head coach Dan Campbell reported that offensive lineman Cade Mays has a fractured wrist, which is expected to keep him out for 8-10 weeks.
These injuries raise concerns for Dobbs, as he joins a team where two former teammates have already been affected. Tyre West, another former Vol, is also part of the Lions' roster.
