Josh Jacobs Returns to Practice, Set to Play Against Lions
Josh Jacobs, running back for the Green Bay Packers, returned to practice on Wednesday and is anticipated to play on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
The 28-year-old was reinstated from the commissioner's exempt list after completing a six-game suspension related to a misdemeanor battery charge from an arrest last May. Jacobs has entered a plea agreement that includes avoiding contact with his accuser and fulfilling certain legal obligations.
Head coach Matt LaFleur noted that while Jacobs has been training, he missed team practices. The Packers, currently with a 4-2 record, are looking to extend their three-game winning streak against the Lions, who hold a 3-2 record. Green Bay has struggled with rushing, averaging only 59.8 yards per game, with MarShawn Lloyd leading the team in rushing yards.
