Josh Johnson Remains with Bengals on Practice Squad
Quarterback Josh Johnson will remain with the Cincinnati Bengals by signing with their practice squad, marking his third time with the team.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Johnson's addition comes as the Bengals currently have only two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster: Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco.
At 40 years old, Johnson signed a one-year contract with the Bengals in March after playing for the Washington Commanders last season. During his time with Washington, he participated in five games, starting two, and completed 63 percent of his passes for a total of 372 yards, along with one touchdown and two interceptions. In the preseason with Cincinnati, he achieved a completion rate of 60.7 percent, throwing for 396 yards and two touchdowns without any interceptions.
