Josh Pierson Joins AJ Foyt Racing for 2027 IndyCar Season

AJ Foyt Racing has announced the signing of Josh Pierson to a multi-year contract to compete in the IndyCar Series, starting in 2027. Pierson, a standout in the 2026 Indy NXT season, will drive the #4 Chevrolet, joining Dennis Hauger, who will pilot the #14 Chevrolet.

Pierson, who has a diverse racing background including karting and international sports cars, made history as the youngest driver to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at age 16. He has achieved notable success in various racing series, including leading the 2026 Indy NXT season in laps and securing pole positions in multiple races.

Team president Larry Foyt expressed confidence in Pierson's abilities, highlighting his impressive performance in tests and races. Pierson's entry into the team coincides with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of A.J. Foyt's fourth Indianapolis 500 victory.
