Joshua Baez Makes Historic MLB Debut with Three Home Runs

Joshua Baez, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals, made a remarkable debut in Chicago, hitting three home runs in his first three plate appearances against the Cubs.

In the first inning, Baez launched a 449-foot homer to center field, followed by another home run in the third inning and a third in the sixth, finishing the game with a 3-4 record and 5 RBIs in the Cardinals' 8-4 victory.

Baez, who dedicated his performance to his late father, had a strong minor league season prior to his call-up, hitting 34 home runs in 103 games with the Memphis Red Birds. His former teammates celebrated his achievement from the clubhouse as he aims to surpass several players on the career home runs list in his next game.
