Juan Pablo Montoya Excited to Drive at New Madring Circuit
Juan Pablo Montoya has expressed his admiration for the Madring circuit, stating that its challenging design has rekindled his desire to race again.
The former Formula 1 driver highlighted that Madring is the first track of the 2026 season that excites him, following the recent Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The new semi-street circuit spans 5.4 kilometers and features 22 turns, presenting a fresh challenge for drivers.
Montoya shared his thoughts during an appearance on F1 TV's Weekend Warm-Up show, where he discussed his experience walking the track. He noted that the elevation changes and blind corners add to the circuit's complexity, making it a unique driving experience. He emphasized the importance of precision due to the barriers lining the track, which require drivers to be highly committed.
