Trump's victory came after he took four of the next seven frames, demonstrating his skill with breaks of 73, 62, and a 67 clearance. Although Wilson initially led in the match, Trump quickly regained control, finishing the first session with a four-frame advantage.

Despite Wilson's efforts, including a break of 103, Trump maintained his lead and ultimately clinched the title by winning the 17th frame.
