Julian Alvarez Misses Atletico Madrid Match Against Osasuna Due to Injury

Atletico Madrid will face Osasuna on Wednesday at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, but will be without Julian Alvarez due to a muscle injury.

Alvarez is recovering from a muscle overload sustained during training last week, marking his second consecutive match missed and his fourth absence in seven games this season. Atletico Madrid's coach, Diego Simeone, confirmed that Alvarez is still in recovery and will not play against Osasuna.

In addition to Alvarez, Alexander Sorloth and Pablo Barrios are also unavailable for the match due to injuries. Jonathan David is expected to lead the attack in their absence. Simeone emphasized the need for patience as the team adjusts following significant player turnover this summer, with the squad currently holding fourth place in LaLiga after five matches.
