Justin Gaethje Expresses Interest in Fighting Conor McGregor
Justin Gaethje has indicated a willingness to fight Conor McGregor, despite the two having never faced each other. He sees this matchup as an opportunity to address a score following Ilia Topuria's victories over Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway, fighters Gaethje had previously considered for rematches.
Gaethje, who won the lightweight title from Topuria at UFC Freedom 250 in June, is currently recovering from a hand injury and is not expected to return until 2027. He mentioned that decisions regarding his future fights are made in consultation with his family and team.
A potential fight with McGregor would present a significant opportunity for Gaethju's return, although other contenders like Arman Tsarukyan are also in consideration. Meanwhile, McGregor is recovering from a knee injury sustained during his fight against Holloway at UFC 329.
