Justin Jefferson Recognized as NFLPA Community MVP for Week 5
The NFL Players Association has named Justin Jefferson, a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, as their Community MVP for Week 5.
This recognition follows Jefferson's involvement in a bowling event organized by The JJets Foundation, which raised over $45,000 for the American Cancer Society. During the event, Jefferson and fellow Vikings players engaged in bowling and games with 25 individuals affected by cancer, including patients, survivors, and caregivers. He also gifted two tickets to Super Bowl LXI to a young cancer survivor.
Jefferson expressed gratitude for the honor and acknowledged the support for the inaugural Strike Out Cancer event, emphasizing his commitment to expanding the initiative in the future. As part of the recognition, the NFLPA will contribute $10,000 to his foundation, and Jefferson will be in contention for the Alan Page Award at the season's end.
