Jye Menzie Re-signs with Tasmania Devils for 2027

Jye Menzie has officially re-signed with the Tasmania Devils' VFL team for the 2027 season as he seeks to return to the AFL. Menzie, who previously played for Essendon, joined the Devils last season and has been a key player in their inaugural VFL campaign.

During his time with the Devils, Menzie scored 29 goals in 17 matches, averaging 20.1 disposals and earning a spot in the VFL Team of the Year squad. He aims to leverage his experience and improved performance to secure another opportunity in the AFL.

The Tasmania Golden Ticket initiative allows the Devils to sign players who can transition to the AFL ahead of the league's expansion in 2028. Menzie's teammate, Brandon Leary, is also being considered for this opportunity following a strong VFL season.
