Kai Rooney Scores Four Goals in Manchester United Academy's 6-0 Victory
Kai Rooney, the son of former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, showcased his talent by scoring four goals in a 6-0 victory for the club's Under-18 team against Burnley in the Under-18 Premier League on Tuesday.
Rooney opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after a header from Jaume Camacho hit the woodwork. He later converted a penalty, completed his hat-trick with a header, and added a fourth goal, bringing his total to five goals in three appearances this season. Camacho and Noah Ajayi contributed additional goals to the team's impressive performance.
At 17 years old, Rooney has been with Manchester United since he was 11. His father, Wayne, holds the record for the most goals scored for the club. Kai is eligible to sign a professional contract with United next week, coinciding with his birthday.
