Kansas City Chiefs Sign Kicker Justin Tucker to Practice Squad
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed kicker Justin Tucker to their practice squad as part of their efforts to resolve ongoing kicking issues.
Tucker, who is 36 years old, has not played since the 2024 season following his release from the Baltimore Ravens in May 2025. His departure came after allegations of inappropriate behavior were made against him, although he has denied any wrongdoing. He faced a 10-game suspension from the NFL as a result.
This season, Chiefs' starting kicker Harrison Butker has struggled, converting only 11 of 16 field-goal attempts, including two misses in a recent loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Tucker, recognized as one of the top kickers in NFL history, holds a career field goal success rate of 89.1 percent, ranking third among players with at least 100 attempts.
