Karen Solomon Found Dead After Disappearance Linked to Husband's Death

Authorities reported the discovery of Karen Solomon's body on Monday, six days after she went missing from her Massachusetts home. Solomon was a mental health advocate suspected in the death of her husband, Worcester Police Officer Kurt Solomon, who was found dead on August 18.

Following the discovery of Kurt Solomon's body, which showed signs of fatal injury, Karen Solomon became a suspect and was believed to be armed. A handgun was located near her remains, although it was not a police service weapon. Investigators are working to identify its owner.

Prior to her disappearance, Karen Solomon was seen on doorbell camera footage shortly after her husband's death. She co-founded First H.E.L.P., an organization focused on police mental health, and authored two books on the subject. The Solomon family expressed gratitude to law enforcement for their efforts in the search.
