Karnataka Struggles Against Tripura in Ranji Trophy Match
Karnataka faced challenges in their Ranji Trophy Group B match against Tripura at the SDNRW Ground in Mysuru. Despite starting strong, they struggled to maintain momentum and ended the day at 297/7, holding a 103-run lead.
On the second day, Karnataka's batsmen, including Rohan Patil and KV Aneesh, made significant contributions with scores of 72 and 68 respectively. However, the team lost wickets at regular intervals, failing to build a substantial lead against a Tripura bowling attack that was described as ordinary.
Head coach R Vinay Kumar emphasized the importance of winning this match, as Karnataka only secured two points from their previous games. The team needs a victory to keep their knockout stage hopes alive as they head into the final days of the match.
