Katie Boulter Avoids Wedding Ring Mistake Ahead of US Open

Katie Boulter, who recently married Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur, has decided not to wear her wedding ring during matches as she prepares for the US Open. This choice comes after observing Andy Murray's experience of losing his wedding band while tied to his shoelaces during a practice session.

Boulter and De Minaur tied the knot in July, first in a small ceremony in England followed by a larger celebration in Tuscany. Reflecting on their weddings, Boulter noted the contrast between the intimate UK event and the more festive Italian gathering.

As she gears up for the US Open, Boulter has jumped back into tennis, having faced early exits in her previous tournaments. She is set to compete against American wildcard Carol Young Suh Lee in the first round. Additionally, four British players have qualified for the main draw, marking a notable achievement for British tennis.
