Kauli Vaast, a local from Teahupo'o, made a remarkable debut at Cloudbreak by scoring a perfect 10 in round three of the Fiji Pro competition.

Following a wait for optimal swell conditions, the World Surf League's decision to resume competition resulted in a day filled with impressive performances, particularly from Vaast, who also scored a 9.07, totaling 19.07 points, marking his best performance on the Championship Tour.

This victory positions Vaast for a challenging quarterfinal against Gabriel Medina, marking their first encounter in a heat. Despite a ninth-place finish at the Tahiti Pro, Vaast has climbed to 11th in the overall rankings, making him the top rookie on the tour.
