Kayla Harrison Set to Return Before Year-End
Kayla Harrison is scheduled to make her return to fighting before the end of the year, as confirmed by her representative, Ali Abdelaziz. While no specific opponent or date has been disclosed, Abdelaziz assured that Harrison will compete this year.
Harrison has been out of action since withdrawing from a fight with Amanda Nunes in January due to neck surgery. This withdrawal was significant as it disrupted the women's bantamweight division, which has remained in limbo since then.
With a record of 16-1 in PFL and three consecutive wins in the UFC, Harrison claimed the women's bantamweight championship in 2025. Although her team has not publicly named an opponent, the anticipated matchup with Nunes looms large, as Nunes has expressed a desire to face Harrison directly.
