Kayshon Boutte Traded from Patriots to Texans
The New England Patriots have completed a trade sending wide receiver Kayshon Boutte to the Houston Texans. In return, the Patriots will receive safety Jaylen Reed and a seventh-round pick in the 2028 NFL Draft.
Boutte, who was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has spent three seasons with the Patriots, accumulating 1,700 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns during his college career at LSU. He has recorded back-to-back seasons with over 500 receiving yards, achieving a career-high of 589 yards in 2024.
The Texans sought to bolster their receiving corps following an injury to Jayden Higgins. Despite signing veterans Sterling Shepard and Zay Jones, the Texans needed additional support, making Boutte a valuable addition to their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
