Kayshon Boutte Traded from Patriots to Texans
The New England Patriots have traded wide receiver Kayshon Boutte to the Houston Texans following a period of speculation during the offseason.
In the deal, the Texans will send a draft pick and safety Jaylen Reed to the Patriots. This trade comes as the Texans seek to bolster their receiving corps after the loss of Jayden Higgins to a season-ending injury. While Nico Collins is established as the team's primary receiver, the return of Tank Dell from a knee injury remains uncertain.
Boutte, who previously played at LSU, recorded 33 receptions for 551 yards and six touchdowns. Despite his potential, he struggled to secure a consistent role with the Patriots, especially after the team acquired AJ Brown and Romeo Doubs in the offseason. The Texans are optimistic that Boutte can contribute to their offense.
