Kaytron Allen Joins Miami Dolphins After Waiver Claim
Kaytron Allen, a former running back for Penn State, has been claimed by the Miami Dolphins after being waived by the Washington Commanders.
Allen was released on Thursday following a stint where he struggled to find his place in a competitive backfield that included notable players like Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Austin Ekeler. During his time with the Commanders, he managed to rush for 41 yards on 12 carries across four games.
The Dolphins are expected to offer Allen more opportunities for playing time, especially after their starting running back De’Von Achane was sidelined due to injury. In college, Allen set a program record with 4,180 rushing yards and had an impressive 2025 season with 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns.
