Kelani Jordan Secures NXT Women's Title Match Against Kendal Grey

Kelani Jordan's long-standing request for an NXT Women's Championship match was fulfilled during Tuesday's episode of WWE NXT. Kendal Grey, the reigning champion, announced that Jordan would face her for the title at the upcoming Heatwave event.

The segment began with Kali Armstrong demanding a title shot, but Jordan interrupted, reminding everyone that she had Armstrong pinned in their recent contender's match. This prompted Kendal Grey to enter the ring, stating that both fans and talents were tired of Jordan's complaints. However, Grey presented Jordan with a contract for the championship match, which Jordan accepted, stipulating that the bout would take place at Heatwave on August 30 at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas.

Kendal Grey won the NXT Women's Title from Lola Vice at the Great American Bash and has since defended it successfully against Vice and Nattie. Jordan is a former champion in both NXT and TNA.
