Kellen Moore Comments on Zxavian Harris's Transition from Saints to LSU
Zxavian Harris, a defensive tackle, was signed by the Saints as an undrafted rookie on May 1 but was waived on August 8. He has since joined LSU, prompting Saints head coach Kellen Moore to question the circumstances surrounding his transition.
Harris was among 16 players who regained NCAA eligibility due to a ruling by a Louisiana judge. Moore believes that the current lack of established eligibility rules in college football is problematic, especially as these rules seem to change frequently following legal challenges.
Moore, who closely follows college football due to his brother Kirby Moore's role as head coach at Washington State, emphasized the need for leadership and regulation in the sport. He expressed surprise at the situation, noting that he never expected a player from the Saints' training camp to compete in college football during the same season.
