Kendall Coyne Schofield Re-signs with Minnesota Frost for Two Years
The Minnesota Frost announced the re-signing of captain Kendall Coyne Schofield to a two-year contract on Monday, alleviating concerns about her potential year off following her Olympic success.
This contract secures the Frost's veteran leadership as they head into their fourth season, maintaining the core that led them to win the PWHL's first two Walter Cup championships in 2024 and 2025. Alternate captains Lee Stecklein and Kelly Pannek also remain with the team.
Coyne Schofield, a four-time Olympian and two-time gold medalist, expressed enthusiasm for returning to the team and aims to reclaim the Walter Cup for Minnesota. Last season, she recorded 12 goals and 23 points in 23 games, despite missing time due to injury. The Frost currently have 17 players under contract, including eight from their championship teams, and finished third in the standings last season.
