Kerri Einarson's Team Advances to Co-op Invitational Final
Kerri Einarson's curling team has advanced to the final of the Co-op Invitational in Victoria, British Columbia, following an 8-4 victory over South Korea's Eun-ji Gim in the semifinals of the Grand Slam of Curling event.
The match was closely contested in the first half, with both teams scoring multiple points in each end, resulting in a tie at 4-4. However, Einarson's strategic plays in the second half allowed her team to secure steals in the fifth, sixth, and seventh ends, ultimately leading to their win.
Einarson's team will face Team Kang, skipped by Kyeong-ae Kim, in the final. This event marks Einarson's pursuit of her seventh Slam title, and she is competing with a new lineup that includes Jocelyn Peterman, who replaced Val Sweeting as third. This is only the fourth event for the newly formed team, which has quickly gelled together.
