Kevin Knight Defeats Chris Jericho to Retain AEW TNT Championship

Kevin Knight retained his AEW TNT Championship by defeating Chris Jericho during the August 12 episode of AEW Dynamite in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The match featured both competitors exchanging offense early on, but Knight gained an advantage when Don Callis interfered. Despite Knight's attempts at underhanded tactics, including using the ropes for leverage during pin attempts, Jericho managed to counter several moves. However, a low blow and a Crash Landing maneuver behind the referee's back ultimately led to Jericho's defeat.

Following this victory, Knight is expected to face Darby Allin, who has challenged him for a Falls Count Anywhere Match at AEW All In London 2026. Knight had previously chosen to face Jericho instead of accepting Allin's challenge.
