Kevin Mital Approaches Milestone for Argonauts
Kevin Mital is close to making history for the Toronto Argonauts as he needs only 19 yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career. If he achieves this, he will become the fourth player from the Argonauts to reach this milestone in a single season, a feat that has never been accomplished in the team's history.
The Argonauts, with a record of 9-8, will face the Montreal Alouettes, who have a 13-4 record, in their regular-season finale. Both teams have already secured the top two spots in the East Division, making the game a formality for playoff positioning.
Mital has set personal bests this season with 981 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He aims to join teammates Damonte Coxie, David Ungerer III, and Tyler Kahmann in the 1,000-yard club. Mital's first reception in the upcoming game will also mark the 200th of his professional career. The Argonauts will start third-string quarterback Tucker Horn, as regular starter Chad Kelly is sidelined due to injury.
