Nash suggests that Undertaker's anger was influenced by jealousy rather than solely by the perceived selfishness of the act.

Nash defended the actions of The Kliq, which included himself, X-Pac, Triple H, Scott Hall, and Shawn Michaels, stating that they had consulted Vince McMahon before proceeding with the farewell. He believes that Undertaker's discontent stemmed from not being part of that moment, which he argues contributed to the evolution of the wrestling business and helped pave the way for the Attitude Era.

JBL, another WWE Hall of Famer, supported Nash's recollection of the event, recalling that Davey Boy Smith was also prepared to confront The Kliq over the incident.
