Kevin Owens Returns to WWE and Claims Number One Contender Spot

Kevin Owens made a surprising comeback during Night Two of WWE SummerSlam, where he was added to the opening match. He triumphed over Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, and GUNTHER, securing the position of Number One contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

This marked Owens' first match since March 2025, when he defeated Zayn at Elimination Chamber. Following that, he underwent neck surgery in July. Reports indicated that he had been training at the Performance Center prior to his return.

After the match, Owens expressed gratitude for the support of his wife and shared that he contacted his parents to reassure them about his condition post-match. He emphasized his commitment to giving his all in the ring, regardless of the risks involved.
