WWE wrestler Kevin Owens has provided insights into his recovery from a neck injury and his determination to return to the ring. Speaking to a Canadian magazine before a WWE SmackDown event in Ontario, he outlined the timeline of his recovery, which accelerated between May and July, leading to his return at SummerSlam in August.

Owens revealed that after an April scan indicated slow healing, he was initially uncertain about his return. However, by mid-July, he received clearance to wrestle, prompting him to cut short a vacation to prepare for his comeback. He completed the necessary medical tests in just nine days, significantly faster than the typical month-long process.

His return to the ring was marked by a victory at SummerSlam, where he became the #1 contender for the world title, just two weeks after being medically cleared.
