Khabib Criticizes Makhachev's Response to Garry at UFC 330 Press Conference
Khabib Nurmagomedov addressed Islam Makhachev's conduct towards Ian Garry at the UFC 330 press conference held in Philadelphia on Thursday night.
During the event, Makhachev told Garry to shut up, which elicited cheers from the audience. However, Nurmagomedov, now coaching Makhachev, later spoke to him about the importance of maintaining respect, noting that Garry had been respectful in his comments. Nurmagomedov suggested that Makhachev should have asked Garry to refrain from interrupting instead of responding harshly.
Makhachev attributed his reaction to the noise from the crowd. The press conference featured Garry facing heckling from fans, which led him to assert that they would recognize his greatness after the upcoming fight.
Makhachev is set to defend his welterweight title against Garry in the main event of UFC 330 on Saturday at Xfinity Mobile Arena, with the event streaming on Paramount Plus.
