Khamzat Chimaev Reflects on UFC 328 Loss and Future Plans

Khamzat Chimaev has addressed his recent defeat at UFC 328, which resulted in the loss of the middleweight title, during a press conference in Moscow. He acknowledged making mistakes in his fight against Sean Strickland but dismissed rumors regarding weight cutting or injuries affecting his performance.

Chimaev expressed his eagerness for an immediate rematch with Strickland, stating he is ready to fight at any time. While Strickland is currently recovering from a shoulder injury, Nassourdine Imavov is seen as a potential contender for the next title shot. Chimaev indicated he is prepared to face whoever holds the title.

Since his loss, Chimaev has remained active, participating in various competitions, including a recent match against Dillon Danis. He is scheduled to fight Tyron Woodley in Moscow and has a rematch with Gilbert Burns planned for later this month. Chimaev also clarified that he intends to stay in the middleweight division until he has defeated all competitors there.
