Kimberley Le Court Claims Stage Six Victory at Tour de France Femmes
Kimberley Le Court secured her second stage victory in the Tour de France Femmes by winning stage six on Thursday. The race covered 153.4 kilometers from Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhone, where Le Court faced challenges including a mechanical failure and an early crash.
Despite these setbacks, Le Court, riding for AG Insurance-Soudal, managed to rejoin the lead group before the final climb. With 300 meters remaining, she launched a successful sprint, finishing ahead of Cedrine Kerbaol from France and Puck Pieterse from the Netherlands, who took third place.
Marlen Reusser of Movistar retained the yellow jersey, maintaining a 12-second lead over Demi Vollering in the general classification. The next stage, known as the queen stage, will take place on Friday, featuring a challenging 146.8-kilometer route to Mont Ventoux.
