Kimberley Le Court Wins Stage Six of Tour de France Femmes
Kimberley Le Court from Mauritius triumphed in stage six of the Tour de France Femmes, winning in a reduced sprint. Swiss cyclist Marlen Reusser continues to lead the overall standings with three stages left.
Le Court joined a breakaway group 10 kilometers from the finish and initiated her sprint with 300 meters to go, narrowly defeating French rider Cedrine Kerbaol, while Puck Pieterse from the Netherlands finished third. Earlier in the race, Le Court faced a mechanical issue that required her to change bikes, but she managed to rejoin the main group with the help of her teammates.
The stage covered 153.4 kilometers from Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhone, with no changes in the overall rankings. Reusser maintains a 12-second advantage over Dutch rider Demi Vollering, who is in second place, while Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney sits in third, 1:17 behind the leader.
