Kimi Antonelli topped the second practice session at the Spanish Grand Prix, while Arvid Lindblad crashed, marking a challenging day for drivers at the Madring circuit.

Kimi Antonelli, the championship leader, led the second practice session at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix on Friday at the challenging Madring circuit in Madrid. He set the fastest lap time of 1m33.662, surpassing Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who finished second and third respectively.

The session was marked by difficulties as drivers struggled with the circuit's tricky layout, particularly at Turn 17, where several went wide. Lando Norris faced gearbox issues and had to retire early, while Arvid Lindblad crashed into the barriers at Turn 13, prompting a red flag with 25 minutes remaining. Fortunately, Lindblad was unharmed.

Despite the challenges, Antonelli's performance solidified his position at the top, with Red Bull's Max Verstappen and George Russell finishing fifth and sixth. Oscar Piastri was the highest-placed McLaren driver in seventh, while crowd favorites Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso ended the session in 16th and 17th places, respectively.
