Kimi Antonelli Triumphs at Italian Grand Prix

Kimi Antonelli claimed victory at the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday, with his teammate George Russell finishing in second place. Antonelli's remarkable performance saw him rise from 19th position to win, becoming the first Italian to triumph at this event since 1966.

This victory also signifies Mercedes' 250th Grand Prix win as a power unit manufacturer and their eighth at Monza, their first since 2018. Antonelli began the race on hard tires but switched to medium tires during an early red flag, allowing him to advance to 12th place. Russell executed a conventional one-stop strategy, starting on medium tires and switching to hard.

As the race progressed, Antonelli continued to gain positions and ultimately overtook Russell for the lead with three laps remaining. The team now leads the Constructors' Championship by 122 points, with Antonelli ahead in the Drivers' standings by 66 points over Russell.
