Kinley Rasmus Leaves Lasting Impact at Little League World Series

Kinley Rasmus concluded her participation in the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series after her Phenix City, Alabama team was eliminated in the U.S. Elimination Bracket Semifinal on Wednesday.

In the match against Hamilton, Ohio, Rasmus went 0-for-1 at the plate, marking her team's second loss in the tournament. Throughout the series, she showcased her skills as a two-way player, achieving 14 strikeouts in two pitching appearances and contributing five hits and three RBIs at bat.

Rasmus set a record for the most hits by a girl in the tournament and tied for the most strikeouts by a girl, sharing the latter with Mo’ne Davis. She became the 25th girl to compete in the tournament's 79-year history and the ninth to pitch. Her family has a rich baseball legacy, with her father and uncle both having played professionally. Although her time in Williamsport was brief, the records she established will inspire future players for years to come.
