Kirk Cousins Reflects on Quarterback Competition Amid Raiders' Losing Streak

The Las Vegas Raiders began the season with three consecutive victories, but after suffering four straight losses, questions arise about veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins' position. The team's struggles have led to speculation regarding the potential promotion of rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the first overall pick in the draft.

Following a recent defeat to the Rams, Cousins addressed the possibility of being replaced, emphasizing his desire to be the best option for the team. He stated that if he is not the best choice, he would prefer not to play, expressing confidence in Mendoza's abilities and future potential.

As the Raiders consider their options, the focus may shift from immediate performance to preparing Mendoza for future seasons. The organization might contemplate a change to rejuvenate the team before playoff hopes diminish, even if Mendoza has not yet proven to be the superior performer.
