Kirk Cousins Safe from Bench After Mendoza's Debut
Klint Kubiak, the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, decided to give veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins a break during the team's recent 45-17 loss to the New England Patriots, allowing rookie Fernando Mendoza to gain some experience.
Despite predictions that Cousins might be benched soon, sources indicate that he remains the starting quarterback as long as he is healthy. The Raiders are currently not rushing to make Mendoza their full-time starter, especially with a record of 3-2.
As of now, Cousins ranks 13th in the league for adjusted QBR and has thrown 12 touchdown passes this season. The Raiders will face the 4-1 Buffalo Bills next, with Mendoza's future playing time still uncertain.
