KJ Simpson Set to Join Galatasaray
KJ Simpson, previously with the Denver Nuggets, is anticipated to sign with Galatasaray, a Turkish basketball team. This information was reported by Semih Tuna of Eurohoops, corroborating earlier reports from Can Bedel.
Simpson, who was the 42nd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, had a brief stint with the Hornets before being waived by Charlotte at the 2026 trade deadline. He later signed a two-way contract with the Nuggets but was released shortly before the start of the current training camp to accommodate a new player.
In his NBA career, Simpson has played 56 games, averaging 6.7 points and 2.8 assists per game. His performance in the G League has been more notable, with averages of 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game. If the deal is finalized, he will join a Galatasaray team that includes other former NBA players.
