Klint Kubiak Expresses Optimism for Ashton Jeanty's Week 1 Availability
Ashton Jeanty, a running back for the Raiders, is recovering from an ankle injury, and head coach Klint Kubiak expressed optimism regarding his availability for the season opener. Kubiak provided updates during a press conference on Wednesday.
Although Jeanty did not participate in practice on Wednesday, Kubiak confirmed that he is hopeful about Jeanty playing in the game against the Dolphins on September 13. Jeanty sustained the injury during practice on August 23 but was later diagnosed with a sprained ankle, which is less severe than initially feared.
Jeanty was the sixth overall pick in the 2025 draft and had a notable rookie season, accumulating 1,321 yards from scrimmage and scoring 10 touchdowns.
