Knicks and Josh Hart Prepare for Contract Talks Amid Market Speculations
The New York Knicks and player Josh Hart are gearing up for another round of contract negotiations. Hart became eligible for an extension on August 10, with potential values reaching up to $132 million over four years.
According to estimates from league sources, Hart's market value is projected between $54 million and $62 million for three years, although a more favorable range of $70 million to $80 million is suggested. Last season, Hart averaged 12.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, contributing significantly during the Knicks' playoff run.
In other NBA news, the Utah Jazz are unlikely to include Lauri Markkanen, Ace Bailey, or Darryn Peterson in any major trades. Peterson, the second overall pick in June, is considered a key asset for the franchise. Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets are preparing to give Day’Ron Sharpe a chance as their starting center following Nic Claxton's trade to the Bulls.
